Frequently asked questions

Which devices are compatible with Articheck?

Articheck works on any kind of device.

Use the iOS app on iPhone or iPad (we recommend installing iOS 11.4 or above).

Use the web app on any computer, smartphone, or tablet with a browser.

Yes, in the Articheck iOS app you can create, update, and save condition reports from any location without an internet connection. When you’re next connected to the internet, open the iOS app and your reports will upload automatically.

You control exactly who has access, to what extent, and for how long.

By default, only you and users in your Articheck organisation account can access your condition reports and artwork data.

You can securely share reports and other information with external contacts using customisable permissions. Share a report as read-only, give editing and sharing capability, or revoke access at any time.

Sharing via Articheck instead of emailing PDFs reduces the risk of unauthorised changes and re-sharing of files.

No, external partners don’t need an Articheck subscription to see information you’ve shared with them.

If you share a report with a client or partner, they’ll receive an email with a link to securely access the report within Articheck.

To access the report again in future, or make any changes, they’ll need to set a password for their free collaborator account.

Articheck already integrates with leading platforms such as MuseumPlus, ArtPlus, Artsystems, and ITGallery but anyone can integrate with our API. Contact us for more information or ask your developer to review our API documentation.

You can also easily import object data to Articheck in bulk and have condition reports ready in no time. Ideal for managing hundreds of objects, tackling collection surveys, moves, and exhibitions. Use our CSV Importer tool with platforms like TMS, CollectionsIndex+, Vernon, and all Axiell products.
